It covers subjects like Bible, (pre)reading, math, art, music, character building, "God's world" (like science and social studies), health/manners. I had trouble finding many of the library books listed (it is a little dated), but for many I just went to the general subject area and looked through whatever my library did have (which probably was newer and had more color pictures). [3] Rating: 5 Date: 2006-12-13 Summary: Different versions different bindings ... I just wanted to let others know that the picture above shows the 1988 version which IS spiral-bound. The other customer photo is of the 1995 version which is NOT spiral-bound; it's just a regular paperback bound book. I have yet to notice any difference between the two versions, and honestly, I don't know why they wouldn't do the newer version in a spiral bound. I love the fact that its spiral bound for the exact reason that other reviewer mentions...I can lay it open flat or fold it back to keep it open to one page. ...more
