This is a wonderful book for so many reason's -- a strong girl character -- plus a non-preachy story about the importance of ALL jobs. The pictures are very good (all DK books are excellently illustrated) and the short stories hold her interest. This series is great in that the reading levels are clearly marked on the book cover, so she knows what to look for when at the library or bookstore. I also appreciate DK because of their quality binding. Unlike so many other children books, DK uses heavy glossy paper-stock. ...more
