My two year old really enjoys this book. in the early sections where the forest could appear scary, I put suspense in it but also consciously ensure I'm not making it frightening. And she does get into it and is astounded when the big bear appears. I think there is great humor in this book if you read it the right way, and the rhythm of the words is very engaging and fun. I enjoy reading this and my daughter likes the buildup and finale. ...more
